My name is Jan. I am as I write, 38 years old. I come from Norway, and I have spent most of my life there. I used to be a hard working computer network administrator, but one day I had enough of it and i made the best decision I've made so far in my life;  I chose to live life instead of grinding through it. I quit my job, and spent almost a year planning how to redesign my life. Still not 100% sure what to do, i figure out I could just as well go traveling to get some new ideas and impulses. And there my real "new life" began; In 2004 I travelled around the world for the first time. And I loved every second of it.

Since then, i have re-educated myself. I have figured out the best way I can live life, work with something I love and get to travel at the same time : I became a Scuba Diving Instructor. I have since then worked in Thailand mostly, except the odd course back in Norway when i have been home on summer holiday. I have also made another journey around in South East Asia, including Mayalsia, Borneo, Brunei, Philippines and Indonesia.

In 2009 and 2010 I followed another dream of mine. And I flew to French Polynesia.

Here I worked as Head of sports, and scuba diving instructor on the beautiful clipper tall ship; The SPV Star Flyer. It was a dream coming through working on a sail ship, and another dream coming true getting to see Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea, Taha'a, Huahine, Raiatea, Rangiroa, Fakarava and the surrounding tropical paradise. I spent 10 months in this paradise - but it was also very hard work. It tought me a lot, gave me lots of good and bad experiences, and I feel I developed my personal and intersocial skills a lot.
